This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
I'm actually rather confused when it comes to DeviantArt's nudity/"obscenity" policy. Yeah, no pornography, whatever; but how exactly is that defined? I know most of it pertains to photography--which doesn't matter to me because my photographs are mainly of inanimate objects--but my concerns are related to drawings.
A lot of my recent drawings do involve some degree of nudity or sexual content, whether or not this is the centerpiece of the image. The thing is, though some of it can be very explicit, nothing is intended to be pornographic, and what little there is that's meant to be somewhat erotic is generally fetish-related. I don't use real people as models and they're drawn in my own style, which ranges from cartoonish to sketchily quasi-realistic. Most sexual content is intended as grotesque or frankly bizarre (i.e. acts that could never actually happen) or relates to my odd sense of humor ("Paco Penis and Valerie Vagina are friends!").
Bottom line, it's highly unlikely you'd ever be turned on by most of my drawings; but is the fact that a particular act or organ is even depicted at all, to any degree, enough to get it/me banned? Or will I not know until they send me a notice? I won't find that out for a few weeks, considering I don't have access to a scanner at the moment, but it still bothers me as I'd have to omit a lot of recent work.
